Funding background

InfraCo Africa is a private limited company which is registered in England and Wales, which provides funding and expertise to infrastructure projects in Africa, enabling them to grow from an initial concept to a bankable investment opportunity to a viable operating business.

Eligibility

More information on eligibility is available here: https://infracoafrica.com/working-together/

Financing

When investing in developments, InfraCo Africa will consider committing between US$1m and US$10m of risk capital by way of a straight shareholder’s agreement or convertible loan agreement, potentially splitting this commitment between a pilot and then the full project. It will in some circumstances take a majority shareholding. However, it expects project partners to be committed to the project and to demonstrate this by committing their own capital, resource and time to its development.
